Calvin Taylor is the only Wyoming outfitter I work with and we've had many happy clients with him. He offers limited hunting on two private land ranches in north central Wyoming.

The ranch in Gillette is rolling open sagebrush country with incredible numbers of undisturbed antelope. No 300 yard running shots necesary here. On this ranch you can expect multiple shooting opportunities on good mature bucks of 13.5"-15" with good mass and cutters. Calvin only takes a handful of rifle hunters for the first two weeks in October so one three day booking during that period is as good as another.

The ranch at Kaycee is more broken country with big cottonwoods in the creek bed and cedar covered rocky out crops interspersed with sage flats. This is one of my favorite places to hunt. Here you will find plenty of antelope but not the huge numbers. The trophy quality can be better though. On this ranch because of the varied enviroment you 'll find excellent whitetails in the creek bottom and great mulies on the rest of the ranch.

A reasonable expectation on this ranch should be for a whitetail of 130-150 B&C and a 170ish mule deer.

Application for the draw ends Mar 15 and can be easily handled on WY, G&F website. All our client have historically drawn for the deer or antelope and in fact there are often many leftover tags.

I've hunted with Cal in Gillette twice and heartily endorse him, and his guide(s). There are a ton of antelope, and the hunt is a very relaxed, unhurried affair. I had a great time.
