My earlier post apparently was deleted as I neglected to include some important details. My apologies. American hunter 7 day plains game hunt. Otjikoko game farm, 40 kms south of Omaruru, Namibia. Farm owned by MW Farms, Pty. PH: Georg Frese 1 x 1 $4,950, 2 x 1 $4,500 Included: 1 bull kudu, 1 gemsbok, 1 impala, 1 springbok, 1 warthog. Pickup and return to Windhoek by private vehicle. Board and lodging, daily maid service and laundry, PH, vehicles, trackers, initial trophy preparation, beer and wine, hunting license and export permits. VAT on daily rates. Not included: Transportation to and from Namibia, taxidermy work, gratuities as one sees deserving. Additional species taken will be charged at the published trophy fee schedule. i.e. Second kudu bull $1,000, 2nd gemsbok $375 eland bull $1,625, steenbuck $350, duiker $400 springbok $500, impala $600, warthog $450, Damara dik dik $1,000, Hartman's zebra $920, blesbok $780, red hartebeest $700, ostrich $800, giraffe $2,800, black wildebeest $1,350, blue wildebeest $1,250, waterbuck $3,000. Jackals and baboons, unlimited and free. Hunt offer period: 2nd week of May, 2011 to end of Sept., subject to prior bookings. This unique property has two adjoing farms owned by the same person. Total huntable area is 165,000 acres. The Omaruru river runs diagonally across the property with 5 tributaries running into the Omaruru creating large riverine forests to attract and retain game. Hunting pressure is minimal as the owner permits only 25 hunters total during the annual season and thus does not advertise. Otjikoko is one of Namibia's best kept hunting secrets. Several AR members have hunted there with very good results. References are available with appropriate permission from the hunters. Due to the abundance of kudu and gemsbok on the property, many of my hunters have opted to take two of each. Wow...what a FANTASTIC DEAL!!! I booked with Geoff and my son hunted with me on a 2x1 in May 2008. The owners pay attention to details and provide super food and service! You will be the only hunters in camp. The property is vast and there was abundant trophy-sized game...We hope to make it back some day...We shot 13 trophies in all and had a wonderful time! Bump for a FANTASTIC and FUN hunt...Geoff is a very honorable booking agent and will tell it like it is ...I'm glad I went as this safari has changed my life as a first-timer to the Dark Continent. If you need more info give me a PM and I can give you more details...

No problem...as I feel I got more than my monies worth on this safari...as you said it's the best kept secret in all of Namibia for hunters' who want to be the only ones in camp, personalized service, first-class food prepared by a CHEF flown in from Germany, great accommodations, great hunting and trophies, and an owner with her full staff who goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is having not just a great time but a FANTASTIC time! I wish I could afford to hunt their place every couple years for PG, for we certainly arrived as guests but left as FRIENDS! You've sold a number of hunts in Namibia for various owners/outfitters and though I may hunt with some of them one day, I will always make sure I spend some time with Martin and Ursi Walters...SHARP folks in my book...both very genuine and sincere...That's the type of safari I like to go on...they got EVERYTHING covered...ain't no surprises and hidden costs!

Well, I nearly enjoyed it but we ALMOST ran out of draught beer one day so I was NEARLY bummed...... As I said in the earlier deleted thread, great place and great hunting. It would be very hard to beat this deal. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Thanks CAT, When you decide to return one day, I will make certain that there is an extra keg of the great Windhoek lager. Thanks for the positive comments. Geoff Shooter
