Stu Taylor Relief Hunts
Gentlemen,

With Saeed's permission to include links to outside sources, I would like to list the following 3 hunts on behalf of Tim Herald and James Brion that are currently available for bid on EBay. Proceeds from these hunts will go to PH Stu Taylor who was injured in a hunting accident last year. Details of the hunts and the EBay links are provided below.

FILMED FOR TV -3 day 2 gobbler turkey hunt at Gobble N Grunt Outfitters in Nebraska, “The World’s Best Turkey Hunt”… to be filmed for THE ZONE TV show on Sportsman Channel…to raise $ for injured professional hunter, Stu Taylor Relief Fund at Conservation Force.

2 of these) 3 day 2 gobbler turkey hunt at Gobble N Grunt Outfitters in Nebraska, “The World’s Best Turkey Hunt”…to raise $ for injured professional hunter, Stu Taylor Relief Fund at Conservation Force.

James Brion, owner of Gobble n Grunt Outfitters in northern Nebraska and president of Magnum Global Media (producers of hunting shows- The Zone and Nosler’s Magnum TV) is offering three, 3-day spring turkey hunts to raise money for Stuart Taylor who was involved in a tragic hunting accident while filming an episode of Nosler’s Magnum TV with Tim Herald on August 4th, 2012.

Stu has had 4 surgeries and is scheduled for more in January, and as of now, he still doesn’t have use of his left arm. 100% of the proceeds from these hunts will be donated to the Stu Taylor Relief Fund at Conservation Force, so Stu gets all the money.

Hunt includes 3 days/3 nights, guide, food, lodging and 2 gobblers. Only extras are getting to camp and license/tags. Gobble N Grunt has maintained a 100% success rate on guided turkey hunts, and the number of birds is simply staggering. Tim Herald has turkey hunted 36 states and 3 countries, racking up 25 grand slams, and he says, “Gobble N Grunt is the best turkey hunting in the world in my opinion”.

This hunt sells for $1895 regularly, and a minimum bid of $1000 is required for this auction. There are 2 of these hunts (and one higher priced auction that includes being filmed for The Zone TV show on Sportsman Channel), so hunting buddies can both bid and come together.

For more information on the hunts at Gobble N Grunt check their website at www.gobblengrunt.com and for more on Stuart Taylor’s accident and relief fund, see http://www.stutaylor-kambako.com .

Are these Eastern or Merriam's turkeys? Sorry if you said and I missed it.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Brett,

I think these are for Merriam's per the Gobble and Grunt website. Check out the link to their website for all the details on the outfit. Give me a shout if you have additional questions and I'll find out for you.

I've done this hunt. Never seen as many turkeys. I killed three long beards and could have killed several more.

As for Eastern v. Merriams, they appeared hybridized to me as the fans were more "buff" than white.

Provided, I'm just a turkey hunter, not a biologist. If it gobbles and runs up to the end of the gun, I blast it. Don't care if the tail fan is pink at that point.

Hmmm....

Looks like a lot of fun.

I think I'll pass on bidding on the televised hunt, I've definitely got a face made for radio! Big Grin

I'd hate to impact the ratings of a show I like!

I am a bit confused as to the dates of these hunts. I will bid on one or more. The dates, however, are critical to me.

Guys, concerning the dates, per Tim's information given to me, go to the Gobble N Grunt website, link provided above, and check the calendar there. From what I understand, you can select from the dates that are open on the website schedule.
