Good Morning Gents

We are concerned that there is not enough being done to promote hunting from within our ranks.
Often cost is cited as a reason that Wives, Children and Friends who may have an interest in hunting and may be potential future hunters, never make it to the field

What we are offering is the following.

For every paying hunter, a non-hunter stays and hunts free.

So if the father hunts as a normal paying hunter for 10 days and shoots Nyala, Bushbuck, Kudu, Warthog, Impala then his non hunting companion ,at no cost, stays and is entitled to hunt on the same trip the same animals that have been shot by the primary hunter, at no cost.

There is no restriction on trophy size
This hunt will take place in our primary free range concession in the Umkomaas Valley KZN

In short there is absolutely no reason not to bring your son, daughter, wife, father, brother or anyone else you think will be of benefit to hunting on this trip.

This hunt is 100% free range and in some of the most spectacular bush you will get to see.

This hunt is specifically for the purpose of promoting our sport and getting a new hunter into the field.

We reserve the right to decline hunters who we feel are simply looking for a free hunt and will be of no benefit to the hunting community.
We are doing our part, we now ask that you do yours and get a new hunter into the field and get that fire burning in their bellies to keep them in the field for many years to come.

We expect to be able to take the following species.

Nyala - $2200
Bushbuck - $950
Kudu - $2200
Warthog - $350
Common Duiker - $400
Impala - $350

Day Rate/hunter $450
Observers pay $120

We suggest 10 hunting days.
Fly in to Durban - I collect you from Kings Shaka at no cost

Day trips for the family are available and the lodge is very family friendly.

Daily Rate Includes:
All meals and accommodation.
Services of licensed Hunting Outfitter and PH’s.
Services of both camp and field staff.
Hunt transport in fully equipped well maintained 4x4s.
Field preparation of trophies, (caping, salting, tagging and cleaning of skulls, shipping to Taxidermist)
Hunting Licenses

Daily Rate Excludes;
Pre and post hunt transportation.
Air or road transfers.
Trophy fees.
Taxidermy costs.
Alcohol and tobacco.
Gratuities to staff.

I look forward to discussing this hunt with you.

Ian:
I am still with you on our last emails. after the new year I will be planning a trip over to hunt with on old friend and then detour to see you for nyala and maybe a warthog or two (if that's possible) as mentioned in your last email.

Up to three mates may accompany me: you remember Greg who will film the hunt? My endocrinologist who is new to hunting and has killed a few caribou with me and talks of plains game in Africa, and my dog's doctor whom I went to Zim with in 2008.

I will let you know the details soon after the new year and make a plan that will include transferring from our first PH to you (or the reverse if we hunt with you first), putting our trophies together so each hunter has one box, etc.

I will be bringing a .350 no2 Rigby box lock ejector with a scope. If a larger critter was available I would tote along my .600 as a second rifle.

I'll be in touch soon.
Cal

PS. From your above post, can I also bring my wife, ex wife, and girlfriend?

Hi Cal

No problem. I look forward to seeing you again.
As long as there is a paying hunter per non-hunter we are good to go.

If you are bringing a group of guys along we can work something out.
I figure if each of us do our part and get a new hunter into the field each year or two we can quickly swell our numbers and protect the sport we love.

Just think, if each of us brought 4 new hunters to the field in their hunting life, and each of those did the same. the knock on effect would be incredible.

You are welcome to shoot your Nyala with the 600 if you like, it will make one hell of a story Big Grin

Chat soon
Ian
