I know this is a long shot but just thought I would put it out there to see if we can get a group of hunters together to do a driven wildboar hunt!

€2,500 euros per hunter.

Includes:

• 4 nights accomodation in hunting lodge
• All meals, tea , coffee (alcoholic drinks extra)
• 3 days of driven hunts
• Transportation during the hunt
• Hunting licence

Every boar tusks must be measured by the Governmental Trophy Measurement Commitee, the measurement fee is 30 EUR/trophy.

Minimum Group size 10 hunters.

The season is end of November to the middle of January.

The expecatation is to shoot between 40-80 boar per day. All depends upon the group. They have shot over 100 many times.

Always wanted to do one of these hunts. Had a friend that went on a driven hunt, and got lots of shooting. Downside is, with a few big boars, the cost becomes the same as a RSA cape buffalo hunt. Since those are usually 7 days instead of 3, the per day cost is over twice as much. Still, maybe right for some. Best of luck selling........WWB

I’ve hunted Hungary quite a few times. Never a fenced area but we’ve never shot numbers like that. The maximum allowed on a driven hunt in Hungary is 25 if memory serves me correctly.

There are both fenced and wild areas, it all depends on what the group of guns wants to do. If the guns are good, then it is possible to shoot big numbers. The outfitter I work with has access to some of the best areas in Hungary. His clients have included the King of Spain, Trump Jnr. and so on.

I have shot driven boar in Hungary, and it is impossible to judge the size of the tusks as it is running like hell thur the forest.

True, but a big boar is generally going to have tusks so avoid shooting them if you so wish!
