Guys and Gals I have some great hunts available for the fall of 2014 through early 2015. We took some big rams this year and Im
looking forward to doing it again next year. I offer Fully Guided, 2x1, Semi Guided, and a few self guided hunts on multiple low
fence ranches in west Texas. Most of these hunts do book up about a year to year and a half in advance so don't miss out.
Payment plans are available, I can accommodate small groups and do take bow hunters. Hunts are priced across the board to fit most
budgets.

Check out my website www.westtexashuntorg.com

There are a few ranches I am working on securing that are not listed on the site so if I am booked up on the site give me a call
and chances are I can still make it happen.

A few rams from this year. Thank you all very much for coming out

I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game.

Mike,
Those are some awesome animals! I have noticed that you have a variety of hunt options. Which hunts give you the best chance at rams of the caliber shown? As I mentioned before, I will definitely be giving you a call after I return from my 2015 African trip.

Every ranch will produce or can produce a big ram it just depends on the location you would like to hunt or how you would like to hunt. Some hunts are harder in terms of terrain, accessibility, and numbers of Aoudad which I have priced accordingly on my website.

The better quality guided hunts that are consistently producing rams in the 30" + range will be priced a bit higher but that is because I have more costs involved on my end too for those ranches.

They are all listed on my website, nothing to hide here. I have such a broad range of pricing for self guided and guided hunts on all the different ranches I did not want to confuse anyone posting here.

A quality guided hunt will run you $2995 on average for everything included. A self guided hunt anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 on average depending whats included.

No sir I sure wont. I am swamped January through March and it is hard for me to break away.

Update- I have booked a few hunts over the past couple days and will keep the website up to date with what is still available as I get chances to.

I still have some great hunts available for this fall in the Val Verde County/Devils river area. Several of the ranches can accommodate 5 to 6 hunters and if a group of this sized booked I will gladly discount the hunt.

Mike I had won an auctioned Audad hunt last fall for this year and it seems like the guy is not returning any phone calls or e-mail messages. If that does not pan out I will book a hunt with you and I can probably get another guy or 2 to join me depending on dates. I will let you know in the next week or 2 what happens and hopefully can hunt with you guys. You kill some awesome rams and I love the rough terrain

Those look like some nice Aoudad.
What was the biggest one taken this past year.
What would be an average trophy aoudad size in inches.
Which ranch would be most likely to harvest one bigger than 34" do you have some there that big?
Do these come to feeders? I know some do but never seen one at any of my feeders and there was aoudad around.
Thanks I need one at least 34" would you do a hunt plus a trophy fee I won't shoot a smaller trophy.
I know some ranchers and outfitters say anything over 28" is a trophy but I would pass.
Let me know

nube- Im sorry about the guy not returning your calls but hopefully he does. If not I would love to have you out with us.

elk88101- Biggest ram was almost 35 inches since this past October. We just took a nice wide 33" ram 2 days ago with a couple more 33inchers prior on other ranches.

Average ram on a guided hunt is 29" to 32" more or less with good mass.

The properties along the Devils River that we have just opened up to hunt recently have the potential of rams in the 33" to 35" range but I would not guarantee you a shot on something in that size. We saw a ram this past weekend that was a solid 36inch ram with great mass that vanished on us sadly.

Hunt the rut or hunt when its cold for the best odds of a sheep that size and I would highly recommend adding a day or two to your hunt to increase the odds. We have rams that size they just are not around every corner.
