This hunt has just become available and note only 5 buff tags are issued in Bangweulu. PH Richard Bell Cross has just taken another monster buff out of the concession! Typically Sitatunga will be hunted during the early and late hours and Buffalo in-between. Unfortunately, Black Lechwe are not offered in this part of the swamps but Kafue Lechwe can be hunted at Shiwa.

This will be a 6-day safari combined with a 3-day (extra days can be added) plains game hunt for Kafue Lechwe, Chobe Bushbuck, Defassa Waterbuck and other species at Shiwa.

The total daily rates are $12,500 inclusive of transfers between the swamps and Shiwa.

Buffalo $6,000
Sitatunga $6,000
Kafue Lechwe $3,500. Cull animals free of charge
Dip & pack $1,500

Transfers 12 hour drive $1,000 each way or $3,500 Charter. It may be such that the nearby Kasama airport will be offering a domestic service which will be a few hundred bucks return.

This hunt can be done anytime this year but I advise the hunt to be done in October when the Sitatunga are rutting however the area can boast 100% success to date.

Shiwa

This is a great opportunity for anyone who can jump on it.

Here they are monsters and to hunt Buffalo amongst thousands of Lechwe with the foreboding backdrop of the swamps is a different experience

Buff has been sold and can greatly reduce the daily rates for Sitatunga
