I am just curious as to why this hunt is at half the price as other Zim ele hunts?

It is a non-trophy bull hunt in a non-premier area and the ivory is currently not exportable to the U.S. It is still a good deal for the experience and anyone looking for a bargain elephant should consider it.

Under the circumstances of the ivory ban I have had to get a deal with the Gokwe S campfire committee that they pull their trophy fee and I pull my day rate and we try not to go to bed with our 3 remaining bulls and 2 cows on quota.
I have just seen an article that Conservation force are expecting USF&WL to withdraw the ban this month. I do believe they will withdraw the ban sooner or later.

Looks like you could also put together a very reasonably priced 10 day Buffalo/Tuskless Elephant hunt. I was just in Zim this past May and would jump on this if I hadn't already spent my money for 2014. Good luck selling these hunts.

Hunts anywhere are worth only what you can sell them for. Dudley has always had reasonably priced hunts for what you get. This should work well for someone. Some people can't afford to hunt in Matetsi.

It would take serious luck, but this is potentially a $24,000 Elephant, Buff, Leopard hunt. Still a great deal even if a guy only took two of the available Big 5 trophies.

Yes thanks Tendrams it is a good deal and one isn't going to go broke making it a 14 to 16 day hunt at $700/day.I have a lion in another area which I could let go on a 21 day hunt with a $15K trophy fee.

By my math, that is $46.500 to shoot four of the big five over 21 days. Amazing deal!

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...
