I am the owner of Continental Divide Outfitters in Western Montana. Our elk hunts are conducted out of a wall tent camp on the Beaverhead/Deerlodge National Forest. We ride horseback from 2 to 5 Miles into camp (depending on which camp we are hunting from). Woodstoves for heat, propane lights comfortable cots for a good nights sleep. You will be guided 2 hunters to 1 guide. All meals are included and pick up and drop off at the Missoula International Airport if needed. We will cape and quarter game taken and deliver it to a local meat processor for you. I limit the camp to 4 hunters at any time. Any more then that and it makes our hunting area feel crowded. Tags in Montana are on a draw and the application deadline is March 15. The draw has been 100% for the past 2 years. The elk/deer combo license is 934.00$. This is mainly an Elk Hunt. Our deer tend to migrate out of the area after the first week of the rifle season and the winter weather starts to move in. I would be happy to forward a reference list to anyone interested.
We run 35% to 50% success for elk. Most bulls are in the 270 300 inch range with potential for bigger. Our unit is also open to cow elk harvest also. So your elk tag is good for a brow tined bull or cow.

The Normal Price for my hunts are $4,000.00 PER HUNTER for a 6 day rifle hunt or 7 day archery. If we are able to confirm your booking with a deposit by January 1. The price will be $3,600.00 PER HUNTER. And the best deal of all, if you can round up 3 friends ( or just 3 other people even ones you don't like) I will give you the hunt for 12,000.00 (Thats 3,000.00 PER HUNTER) and there will be no other hunters in camp but your party.
Please email or call 406-207-1344 if you would like to talk further about this hunt, or any other Montana hunting you would be interested in.

Right now I have the first week of rifle season open (Opening day 2013 rifle is 10/26). this week you get 7 days on your trip. I always want to be in camp the day before the season so we are hunting at daylight opening morning. The second week is booked and then I have the third week open. November 9th to the 14th.

If you are thinking archery I have the first 2 weeeks booked already. So I have september 22nd to the 28th still open,.

If you are interested in a strait mule deer hunt I have hunts available on private Land in eastern Montana. When we finish up with the elk hunts around the 14th we head for eastern Montana to conduct these hunts during the rut. These are 5 day hunts that run 3900.00 each guided 2x1, bucks from 140 to 180. my website is www.huntmontanaelk.com or shoot me an email at bowhuntelk1@juno.com for pictures

Ill shoot you a pm also

Do to some schedule reshuffling I have some openings now the week of Nov 9th to the 14th. If you can come as a pair the price will be 3300.00 per hunter otherwise a single hunter is 3600.00. That is for a 2 hunter to one guide ratio. Thanks for all the interest
