Very adaptable to the environment conditions, the wild boar can be equally met in the alpine forests, where it goes during the summer, but also in the hill, plain areas and even in the Danube Delta, where it comes in autumn, preferring the shelter of forests, especially the fructiferous ones. A special charm of the wild boar is granted by the use of dogs in drive hunts. Usually, the trophies weighted over 150 kg, being even trophies of 300 kg. Those who wish to participate in such a hunt need to decide the date as soon as possible to lock in on a good reservation.

what about the uberlaufers ie young boars and females what are the prize on those as they tend to get shot as well on the driven hunts ?

I'm not sure I understand your question very well.
But I will try to answer your question.
The price for young boar up to 60 kg are 150 euro and 350 euro females.
Uberlaufers...I do not know this word.

what looks srange to me is your way of price calculation based on the length of the tusks. you offer a driven hunt, not a stalking hunt. A hunter has no chance to estimate the animal and the tusks prior the shot - esp in the deep snow.

You are absolutely correct, Easyman.
Unfortunately, this price calculation based on the lenght of the tusks size is imposed in Romania by the Forestry Department. After all, we were a communist country, and bad habits die hard.
