You will need to fly into Lusaka from our side of the Falls (your PH can drive you over) and I will meet you here. After the Kafue hunt you will depart from Lusaka to Joberg to connect with your flight to Spain.

Confirm you are not bringing guns?

Hippo in Luangwa are generally huge.

I had a 2 part Lechwe hunt scheduled in 2004. GO to Zambia, Shoot Kafue. Go to Botswana and shoot Red Lechwe.

I canceled it 7 days out to go chase a problem Lion.

Now, I have no Lechwe and the Lion won.

Can't go this year, but I am putting this in my "interest" column for next year if it is to happen again in 2012.

You guys have fun. This is a unique hunt.

I would also like to throw my name in the hat for next year if you have a similar offer.

I am looking forward to this and if all goes well then there is no reason why we cannot do this next year.

It has been suggested by Nganga that next year we do a group Sitatunga and Black Lechwe safari and spend some time in the remote Bangweulu swamps?

Good idea and I am working on it.

Bummer, I would love to do this trip, but am conflicted out by a trip with my son right in the middle of those dates.

At this point I can only dream. My knee replacement of just a year ago has failed and it needs to be done over again. I am trying to work up the guts to go through that enormously painful process again.

This means I am putting it off as long as possible and well, who knows....? All I can tell you is every step I take right now is excruciating. You don't need any sissies tagging along at this point and I don't fancy myself as croc bait just yet.

Next year might be better for sure. I love swamps. Grew up in them and though there were no crocs lurking in mine, I doubt such critters would have slowed me down at all.

I will have to live vicariously through this maiden voyage of yours for now. Please save the biggest lechwe and sitaunga for me.

Will do Ann and get yourself some morphine. If you cannot get it from a doctor then try a friendly vet.
