We just had cancelation due to a client who unfortunately had to cancel his safaris with us for August of this year. The Safari was for him, as the primary hunter and his wife as an observer. The safari was for 16 days and included 5 days of plains game hunting at our main area in NW Namibia and 6 days of touring from our main area, through Etosha National Park and the Caprivi strip, to Victoria Falls. Furthermore it included a 3 day non trophy buffalo hunt in the Caprivi. The price included the non-trophy buffalo, plains game was to be added at the standard rates for 2023.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in doing a full combination safari throughout Namibia. There is room for some customization of the safari and flexibility of dates.

Day 1 - ARRIVAL DAY AND TRANSFER TO TUALUKA SAFARI LODGE

Arrive in Windhoek Transfer by road takes about 5.5 hours to drive. Tualuka is located in the North-Western part of Namibia, bordering Damaraland and is the home base of Shona Hunting Adventures. This area can only be described as Hemmingway’s “Green Hill of Africa”. The terrain is diverse, ranging from rolling Granite Hills, Mopane woodland savanna and open plains that flows into the Acacia riverine forests of the non- perennial Huab River.

The area is home to the Namibian Desert Elephants and two of the endemic game species found only in Namibia; the Mountain Zebra and the Damara Dik-Dik.

Day 2 - 6 - 5 DAYS AT TUALUKA SAFARI LODGE

Day 7 - 8 - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Transfer from Tualuka Safari Lodge to Etosha, drive time approximately 4 hours.

Etosha National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and covers a vast area of 22 270 square km. Visiting the park is a great opportunity to see some more of Africa animals, including 4 of the big 5 in their natural environment. There are 114 mammal species in the park and several are rare and endangered. The park is also the world’s largest sanctuary for the endangered black rhino. About 340 bird species can be found, of which about one third is migratory. In the dry season Etosha’s wildlife is dependent on water holes, which offer excellent game viewing and photographic opportunities.
Accommodation will be at one of the lodges inside or just outside Etosha depending on availability.

Day 9 - HAKUSEMBE RIVER LODGE, RUNDU

Most of the day will be spent driving.
A detour will be made to visit the Hoba Meteorite, The Hoba Meteorite is the largest known meteorite and likewise the largest known single mass of native iron known on earth. Overnight at Hakusembe River Lodge.

Day 10 - CHOBE RIVER CAMP

Day 11 – 13 – KABULABULA, BUFFALO HUNTING

Dangerous game hunting in Caprivi/Zambezi region of Namibia. These concessions are situated on the Namibian side of the famous Chobe River, directly opposite the Chobe National Park in Botswana, affording great opportunities for elephant, buffalo, hippo and crocodile.

Included:
1x Non-trophy buffalo, (3 hunting days).
Accommodation, all meals, water, soft drinks, hunting truck and boat.
Excluded:

Day 14 - 15 – VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE
Transfer by road from Chobe River Camp to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe
Approximate drive time is 2 hours depending on time spent at border crossings. Accommodation will be at one of the lodges around Victoria Falls depending on availability.
Best times to visit the falls in my opinion is early morning or late the afternoon to watch the sunset over the main gorge.
