Kelly Vrem/Rough and Ready Guide Service has an excellent area in the Wrangells and a superb area for brown bear in the Becharof National Wildlife Refuge on the Peninsula. In the Wrangells regardless of hunt dates you should expect a big bull from the mid 50's to 70 inches with most in the 60's. On the Peninsula with a little luck you should have an opportunity at a 9' bear and every year or two they take an honest 10 footer.
