The area is unfenced in SW Texas. The ranch is located 40 miles north of Del Rio, Texas on highway 277 or approximately 50 miles south of Sonora on highway 277. The terrain ranges from mesquite and cedar flats with an abundance of oak to steep bluffs with sage, pinion pine and cedar. The flats have White Tail Deer, Turkey and Hogs. The hillsides and bluffs also have the Deer, Turkey and Hogs as well as the exotic species including large herds of Aoudad. They also have access to high fenced properties with several different Exotic species including Black Buck, Fallow Deer, Elk and high genetic White Tail Deer.

The pictures are from a fantastic Aoudad. I cannot promise one that big but the picture was taken just a few days ago. Of the 10,000 acres, there are several of these big dudes running around but it is by no means a slam dunk. You would be hunting in blinds about 100-150 yards off of a feeder in very hilly terrain. The basic hunt is two days for $3,500 with the option of adding days at $220 a day. To be straight, I would say your chances of a 30+ Aoudad are around 50%...but they are definitely there. The longer you hunt, the better the odds obviously.

The hunt is stationed at a very nice lodge (can send pics if you like) and includes all food, beverage, etc for two days and two nights.

The best time to hunt will be the next few months when it is dry...before any spring rains.
