Scott Mileur/Mileur's Guide Service has the old Olga Bay, Karluk and Red Lake guide area made famous the renowned brown bear guides Pinnell and Talifson. Scott has continued their legacy of killing really big bears. Spring '15 saw him take 7 bears for 7 hunters all squaring 9' or better with 4 bears passing the B&C minimum of 28". Two of those bears were archery kills and should easily make top 10 P&Y. Spring '15 was an exceptional season but the results show what the area is capable of. A hunter in reasonable shape should expect to have an opportunity at a bear of 9' or better and perhaps a very big bear.

Time permitting ptarmigan and sea duck hunting is available at no extra cost.

Scott has two openings for spring '16 Apr 21-May 2 or May 4-15.

Pricing: 1x1 12 full hunting days $22,000

Charter: Kodiak city to bear camp $1,000-$2,000 per person dependent on # of hunters on flight.

One of the best hunts in the world with arguably the best guide on the island. He is every bit the equal of Bill and Morris and carries on their proud tradition. Hunting with Scott is a hunt and a history lesson all rolled into one. I hunted with Scott in spring 2014 at Karluk Lake and killed a 9'-6" bear with a 28 1/8" skull.
