leopards valley safarisHey Guys
I know Thodo and Anka personally. Family friends.
shot my first Gemsbuck there at 13. Great people.
and for the record.Their home language is German (Namibia being and old German colony) and 90% of their clientel is from Europe. So they quote in Euro`s.

Idaho Sharpshooterthat's funny; someone living in the UK talking about Americans being culturally self-centered...
I agree that anyone posting here on the American Reloading (AR) forums in good english to his potential clientele in terms of pricing in USD is missing the boat. Customers don't generally enjoy currency conversions. Make it easy, use dollars.

MolepololeBTT, eh Rich? OK, I'll bite. I visit this great website not only for information, but for entertainment. And having just now read this thread for the first time, I find it very entertaining.
You said, "Make it easy, use dollars." Yes, and lets tell the rest of the world to use inches, feet, yards and miles instead of meters, kilometers, etc. As was stated, most hunting clients in Namibia are Europeans, not Americans. I guess that's why there's direct airline service from Europe to Windhoek, but none from the U.S.
There are lawyers on this thread complaining about having to make the currency conversion. If you're smart enough to be a lawyer, for crissakes, then you should be able to do simple math. I can do the currency conversion on the trophy fees IN MY HEAD in a few seconds and be within 10 or 20 bucks.
Last July I walked into a Spar Mart in Tzaneen, SA. I accidentally pulled a dollar out of my pocket. The Afrikaaner cashier told me she had never seen one before and asked if she could look at it.
There are approximately 6.8 billion people on this blue and green sphere we live on. There are roughly 300 million people in the U.S., and many of those are immigrants or illegals. We are a minority in the world, so we should get used to it.
Rich, I'm not knocking you or anyone else on this thread. We all get along just fine. I just find some of the comments on this thread pretty funny.
