Folks, As you may know the du Plooys/Muchinga Adventures is helping to market and PHing the Chanjusi GMA as well as their own Chifunda GMA on the Luangwa river in Zambia. You may also know there is no finer leopard hunting in Africa. I've never had a failure there and it would be very unusual for the hunt to go beyond 7 days without the leopard being in the salt. The area is wild Africa in spades and I'd be very surprised if you didn't hear lions calling at night very close to camp, hippos carry-on in the river and have elephant and leopard visiting the camp in the night. Guys this hunt is more expensive than what you'll find in Zimbabwe but if you shoot well you should only have to do this hunt once and additionally it's a daylight hunt. No camping out near the bait, elaborate alarm systems and rheostat controlled lights necessary. The leopard comes in daylight and you shoot him. Simple. Hunting a leopard on the Luangwa is far less like work than hunting a leopard in the lowveld of Zimbabwe. Dates: 1-30 June 14 Aug onward June and last two weeks of Aug would be ideal Pricing: 1x1 14 days $19,500 Concession fee $8,000 Lic, rifle permit, Conservation fee $1,450 Dip/pack $1,500 Ammo duty ? $2-$5 per round Budget $200 for miscellaneous airport fees Observer $300 per day TROPHY FEES: Leopard $7,500 Buffalo $3,950 Tuskless $9,500 Baboon $120 Bushbuck $900 Crocodile $2,500 Civet $1,250 Common Duiker $450 Grysbok $650 Genet $950 Hippo $2,950 Hyena $1,000 Impala $300 Kudu $2,300 Monkey $100 Puku $850 Warthog $850 Waterbuck $1,750 Cookson's Wb $3,500 Zebra $1,250 If you want a proper daylight leopard hunt and to take your leopard on the first try, this is the hunt you need. Guys, I changed the wording a little on the ad. Hell! I've shot multiple leopards and I'd love to do it again too but the point is if you buy a relatively inexpensive leopard hunt there is a chance and in some cases and a very good chance you'll end up doing it again because you failed. I've talked to many people who this has happened to. I spoke to one guy who'd been on 7 leopard hunts and had yet to see a leopard. in each case he paid around $20,000 for the hunts. That's $140,000 let alone baits, airfare and the extras. With this hunt I'd be very surprised if you didn't shoot a leopard and probably on the first sit. Mark MARK H.
