Got some bear moving from the artic Circle into my concession and I am offering 50 tags to those who can endure 14 days quarantine in a Government facility.

Due to self-isolation and social distancing this will be a self-guided hunt.

I am thinking 21 days and trophy fee for just under $200,000. Observers are free of charge.

PM me for deposit details

I met a guy a couple of months ago that had killed 160 species of big game. Said he thought about polar bear but since he couldn't bring it back it wasn't worth getting into.

He said if he was 20 years younger he would be working on the Weatherby award.

Still married, and done 99% of his hunting since he turned 55, I think he was 68.

I am sure the success rate will be very high. I do not mind the self-guided part, did that in Cameroon, but I do not trust my skinning ability. What is the chance you can supply a skinner.

I don't think Kafue Polar Bears qualify towards the Weatherby Award...pretty sure they are all farmed animals...

The calibre of my wallet doesn't meet the legal minimum for that trophy fee.
Nice offer, and interesting, but I'll have to pass this time.

If the daily rate is right and the trophy fee is due on success, you might have a winner there.

I have never hunted polar bear.

But a few years ago they had a Canadian trade exhibition here, and among the items being displayed were two polar bear skins.

A friend bought them, with all the required documents, and gave them to me.

I posted photos of them here and everyone thought I shot them myself! rotflmo

You should go hunt a polar bear...its the single greatest hunting adventure I have even done!

We have polar bears here in town pretty regularly before the ice forms on the sea. It's kinda funny to think that you have to bring a gun just to go out to walk the dog.

My daughter is half Zambian. Maybe you could hire her to guide these hunts once this CV thing has run it course?

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I'm pretty sure that if you kill a polar bear in Zambia you're allowed to bring it on the plane as checked baggage.

Whole.

Andrew, you are a funny SOB.

Meaning, and intending to say, that you are an SOB, and you are also funny. And that counts for a lot. Nullifies all else, actually.

But enough of idle banter. I’ll take the 90% discount offer, but will need a 100% refund if unsuccessful.

Except I’ll buy all beer, wine and liquor, and all ancillary game shot by me or my designees for bait or camp meat.

Oh, I forgot to ask, where in hell do you find the fur seals for bait?

Mike, if you’re paying for all the booze I suspect after a couple of days you’ll find the fur seal up a tree sitting between the pink elephant and the unicorn. But , apparently there’s no quota available for unicorn.
