Gd day everyone!

The pricing structure for the hunt I’m offering is normally 7 days @ $1000 per day + trophy fee of $6000 for buffalo + normal extras

I’m going to put some skin in it and offer it as below:

Country - Zimbabwe
Area - Hammond (Save Valley Conservancy)
Operator - Nyerezi Safaris (Owners of Hammond)
PH - Myself if dates work out, Pete Creighton or Pete Wood
Type of hunt - Buffalo/plainsgame

Quote:

7 days @ $500 per day = $3500

Buffalo - $10000
Buffalo Female - $2000
Eland - $2000
Kudu - $1750
Impala - $300
Zebra - $1200
Wildebeest - $1000
Klipspringer - $1000
Bushbuck - $900
Hyena - $850
Giraffe - $1500
Grysbok - $400
Bushpig - $500
Warthog - $550
Civet - $500
Duiker - $400

Extras:

2% GVT tax on total of daily rates ($70)
4% GVT tax on total of trophy fees (buffalo $400)
Dip & Pack $350
Observers @ $300 per person per day
Vehicle transfer $250 return in a Landcruiser pick up
Air Charter $1400 each way

Total for a successful hunt, including buffalo trophy fee, vehicle transfer, all the extras = $14 570

There are 2 of these hunts available. For a 2 on 1 deduct $75 per person per day making total $14 045 each
These hunts can be done in 2018 or 2019?
This hunt is targeted at someone who just wants a great buff hunting experience with a chance of realistically getting a solid bull of 36”+. There are a lot of buffalo in this area.

I’ll be attending SCI if anyone wants to come and discuss it

Happy Hunting!!

What am I missing here?

Your normal buffalo hunt is 7 days @ $1000/day + a $6000 trophy fee for $13,000,

But now you're offering a special price of 7 days @ $500/day + a trophy fee of $10,000 for $13,500?

I think I like your normal rate best.

Good for someone that is very selective.

If you don’t get a buffalo then I’m personally as the PH out of $3500. Not the operator. If we get a buffalo my bonus is $500 so to speak

if anyone is interested in booking the normal rate that’s absolutely fine too. I’d prefer it that way too.

It's a risk reversal proposal. Thierry is providing a very good daily rate with the risk of not taking a buffalo. If you take a buffalo, great, if not, the financial risk is minimal to you.

I'd jump on this but I'm already booked for this season in the SVC.

What are the odds of not taking a buffalo?

We've seen a lot of really big/old bulls come out of the Save so even if you're picky, I'm pretty sure that everyone could find a bull that they like.

I'd say Thierry is taking a great risk. If the hunter is looking for a huge buffalo and turns down shooter after shooter never finding that huge bull Thierry gets to eat the buffalo if I read this correctly. Yikes! For a guy looking to just kill a good buffalo this is a more than fair deal.
