I did this hunt as a last minute thing when we got tired of looking at rebuild old cathedrals in Germany and then my girlfriend had enough when she had to walk past a dead homeless guy at the Munich train station.

I was not prepared with good optics nor clothing for the mountains. And the rifle I used had an American scope gifted to the guys at camp. They were very proud of it. It was Tasco. Eith my old eyes, I had a tough time with thatWink But got the job done.

Girlfriend loved the rustic old place we stayed. And the endless bottles of wine brought out by the chef. We had a wonderful experience in Macedonia and really liked the people.

As for the hunting, take good optics. A spotting scope would be a great help. If you must, use their rifle but get to camp the afternoon before and practice with it. It has a hair trigger. But if you can bring your own. Something you can carry up the mountains and shoot well at distance, it will increase your chances at a great trophy. They have a lot of Chamois there and if you are properly kitted out and fit to climb mountains. I think you have a great chance at a fantastic trophy.

And if you are not properly prepared and just decide to swing by on a side trip, that can work alsoWink

Difficult to put down a number. If you come in the rut and you have a little patience you can definitely get one. The better you walk and shot, the easier it is.
The area really has lots and lots of chamois, it's just a question of picking one that meets you requirement.
