Here is a hunt for Mid Asian Ibex in Kazakhstan.

This is truly a super area to hunt BIG Ibex, a client of mine shot an absolute monster there year before last 53.5"! I believe this area is where Kermit Roosevelt shot a very big Ibex, mentioned in his book East of the Sun West of the Moon! Realistically you can expect a good Ibex in the high 40s and with luck one never knows! To shoot a big Ibex you need to hunt in areas where the Ibex have food and shelter during the harsh winter months at lower elevation. This is the reason, this area produces big ibex. The altitude is also not as high as Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan.

Fly in to Almaty and drive to camp (14 hours), its a remote area hence the big ibex!

Kazakhstan is a beautiful country and for someone who enjoys being in the mountains on horseback this experience cannot be beaten. The weather will be fall like temperatures and the leaves will be changing color its really magical! You will have an interpreter in base camp but on the hunt itself it will just be local guides who may speak a few words of English, enough to get by.

Folks Kyrgyzstan has been a favorite destination for Ibex hunters, however with the imminent closing of hunting in Kyrgyzstan in 2020. These hunts are going to rocket up in price! If you have a mid asian ibex in your plans. Do it while you can.

I will need to check if the outfitter will hold these prices for 2020 with a deposit. Still have a few spots for 2019.

Great hunt...wish I would have seen this earlier. I booked Kergz...if you guys like a mountain hunt it does not get any better for the price!!!

Yes if you put down a deposit the outfitter will hold it for 2020.

They are already getting pretty booked up! Lots of repeat clients when you shoot big ibex.

Shot in the last few weeks!

All really good Ibex, the largest was 51.5" a HUGE IBEX ANYWHERE

The outfitter has a few spots left for 2020. Book now as these prices will increase in 2020 especially if Kyrgyz closes hunting which it looks set to do!
