This bull is on a ranch in Blanco Texas. He was not darted him he was caught in a pen trap so he was not measured. We estimate him in the 36-37 inch range but this is just an estimate. I do have pictures. He is a very nice mature bull at avery discounted price. There is nothing wrong with him. He was purchased then the purchaser could not come up with the money. The trapper took one month to catch him and 3 days to load him in a trailer to move him. This is the reason for the discounted price and this will not last. I can send pictures or direct you to pictures if you call me or I will try to post them on here.

Y'all have been asking for another Axis deer meat hunt, so here we go! We will be hunting with Posse member Clay Pope and Pope Brothers Guide Service in the Texas Hill Country. The ranch is off I-10 about half way between Kerrville and Junction. The hunt will be from noon Friday, May 15th, 2009, until noon Sunday, May 17th, 2009. The cost of this hunt is $400. It includes 1 Axis doe, our lodging on the ranch, field dressing & quartering of the game (caping for $25 per axis is available) and unlimited hogs. We will be able to hunt hogs at night too!! You may take as many additional Axis does as you wish at $200 each. You may also take a trophy Axis buck with no limit on size for $1250. There are no daily fees. We will do our own cooking as usual. We can take 8 Posse members on this hunt. The first 8 members to go to the sign-up thread, register, and send me their $200 deposit are going to be eating Axis!!!

I got home about 1:30. Finished cutting up and packaging pigs after unloading my truck by about 6:30.

This was a fantastic outing! The property alone is breathtaking. Breakfast....well I try! Thankyou Bob, Clay, Micah, Jeremy, Gordon Ranch and all the rest behind the scenes that made this hunt possible. Even if I didn't see SUS SCROFA again, I would love to hunt with the Posse on this property again.

This being a "Predator" hunt I decided to use a type of ammo labeled "The Predator" by the company that makes it, RBCD, and thus the box in the picture with the pig. Entry hole only, pigs devastated! Distance was only 60yds, but the spotted one was a bang-flop! Blackie ran about 50 yds and piled up. Maybe Micah will chime in and tell ya'll what he observed with these Predator-shot pigs that he has never seen before after having cleaned thousands of pigs. Micah and Jeremy will be receiving a box each of RBCD 30-06(I am having it shipped) to try for themselves and will hopefully provide us with some gory details I am looking forward to the next hunt I am able to share with my friends.
