Alaska/Yukon moose hunts that I'm offering are going to be $12,500-$16,500 for '12 and some operators are getting over $20,000 for a moose. If those prices are just too much I'd perhaps suggest you should consider British Columbia. B.C. can offer a true wilderness moose hunt with excellent success rates for a fraction of the money an Alaska hunt will sell for.

We are working with Fawnie Mountain Outfitters that has an area of 900,000 acres near Anahim Lake. Half the area is forested with numereous lakes that the moose hunts are conducted on.

Fawnie Mountain has several tent camps and cabins on these lakes and the hunting is mostly conducted by cruising the lakeshore and calling. This can be very productive and exciting when a big bull thinks a challenger is in his territory. Hunts can also be arranged from the main lodge on Moose Lake that provides all the comforts of a first class fishing lodge which it is. You can hunt the lakeshore or hunt from horseback. AND the fishing is excellent with rainbows in the 6-8 pound class not uncommon.
