Press Release: Québec City, February 6, 2014 – Minister of Sustainable development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks, has announced the provincial harvesting limit will be two caribou per hunter for the 2014-2015 seasons.


Trip includes
• Shuttle transfer from Montreal airport to hotel/hotel to airport
• Charter flight from Montreal to camp and return
• 7 day trip – 5 days of hunting
• 1 guide per 2 hunters
• Hunting will be by boat, foot or ATV
• Way in and way out: 75 lb. luggage allowance
• Cabin accommodations (2 clients per cabin) – cabins have oil or propane heat
• Hot water showers and flushing toilets
• Home cooked meals
• Preparation and transportation of meat, antlers and capes
• Way out: transportation of 3 meat boxes weighing 70 lbs. each
• Boats, motors, fuel
• Satellite telephone communications
• Internet access (depending on camp used)

Not included
• Hunting equipment
• Alcoholic beverages
• Gratuities
• Caribou license
• Black bear license (optional)
• Small game license (optional)

I personally hunted with the outfitter in 2013 and am booked again with him this year. 2014 hunts are sold out with limited openings for 15'

the infos posted about the quota are for fall 2014-spring 2015 nothing has been released yet for fall 2015.

That's kind of misleading, I would be pissed if I sent a deposit just to find out later that I only got 1 instead of 2.

holy cow - talking about hunting costs going up. my 1st quebec caribou trip was a guidedone and cost $700 - oops i guess i just aged myself

About the 2 caribou limit. Although it has not been officially announced, our outfitter is confident that this will be re-instated for 2015 as well. Other outfitters are confident as well,as it is posted on some of their social media.

This is one of the reasons that we are only doing a $500 deposit for now. We feel that the official announcement on the 2 caribou limit will come late summer/early fall.

If one books the hunt and for some reason the gov't. drags their feet and changes the caribou limit to 1, you will be offered a full refund.

Hosted Hunts has worked with this outfitter for 14 years and have hosted 6 different caribou trips with him, having great success. We have no reason not to believe in him.
