THE HUNT
This is a classic mountain spot and stalk hunt. Hunting in Kyrgyzstan requires a lot of horse riding. The elevation range is 9,500 – 11,500 feet above sea level. The stalk is completed on foot once the desired trophy is located. Spike camps are used to stay within the hunting area. Shooting distance is 250-400 yards.

ACCOMODATION
The base camp is located to the east from Issyk-Kul lake. It is a comfortable lodge with separate guest rooms, dining area, bar and sauna. Tented spike camps are used to save time and stay within the hunting area. All of them are equipped with everything needed
for successful hunting and good rest.

If there is enough interest it will be possible to plan an AR group hunt

Thanks for looking.

Arjun,
Are you freaking kidding me! Since when are mid-asian hunts pro-rated... is the non-english speaking guide going to be able to tell that 3" difference at 250 yds with his pair of 1960 Tasco binos?

I say this in all respects, but how is this going to shake out?

Despite my worries about the inches....I would also Like to Confirm my booking, because it includes "One Marco Polo Argali!" 7500$ a deal is a deal... Smiler

Hi Arjun,
I think you might want to review what you have included in this offer.
Of course, if you want to leave it as is, where do I send my deposit? ;-)

Best Regards.

Sorry guys that deal (typo) was only for 2014 - I did put in a clause saying it was for 2014 prices Smiler. Oryxhunter you are 100% right you cannot judge inches correctly from 50 yards let alone 500 yards, but this particular camp has that rule, they will measure it with the horns held in your hands. There are other camps that offer a fixed price trophy any size if you are interested. The trophy quality in this camp however is very good.

I personally don't agree with trophy prices based on trophy size, its like penalizing someone for having good luck or being a good hunter! But it seems to be becoming more widely practiced!! Its pretty common for Bezoard Ibex in Turkey. And some operators want to charge 10K more for a 60" MP. Whether you like it or not Money talks very loudly in Asia.

PLEASE LETS NOT GET SIDE TRACKED ON TO A DIFFERENT CONVERSATION HERE THOUGH.

Same way with ivory. Your guide's best guess on whether to pull the trigger or not, but your checkbook once you do.

I'm fine with it, as long as if my guide is wrong by more than 0.5 cm, he pays the trophy fee. Big Grin

Without some maximum boundary for "guide error" I don't see most people going for this sort of deal. If I shoot what is an $8600 Ibex as per the guides estimation, I want to be sure he has not underestimated the price (as per the length) by more than $500-$1000. Too much uncertainty beyond that that would probably, if the event occurred, result only in the elimination of the guides tip....eg. "Sorry buddy, all my money went to the trophy fee, so nothing left for you".
