Makadi Safari who I represent is a long time operator in Namibia and has a surplus of animals on the their properties. This allows them to offer a great deal on a management hunt for non-trophy animals. These animals might be old and not relevant in the breeding, have broken horns or just never have reach trophy proportions. To be clear it will be "Shoot that one" as the PH will know what animals need to be taken off the property. That of course does not mean you won't have to hunt these animals.

Makadi has 175,000 acres in two parcels. The Ilala Game Reserve at about 50,000 acres is wild unoccupied bush and totally unfenced. It is very remote as the surrounding properties are all abandoned. The other property is also not game fenced except for a small area where the non-indigenous animals are found. Otherwise it is all open ranch land. You'll hunt in whatever area needs some animals removed.

If you'd like to add a few days to take a trophy kudu, Mountain zebra, oryx, springbok etc that can be arranged after the Management hunt.

The accommodations are excellent with private rooms, great German food, beautiful baths and a nice swimming pool. You'll be very comfortable and some activities can be arranged for non-hunters.

Hi Mark, just read the post - it might be helpful to let us know what animals are in the 10-animal management bag, as that might make a difference to some.

I see the available animals for after-mangaement-hunt add-ons, but unless I missed it I don't see the actual species making up the 10 management animals listed.

There are no specific animal species being targeted. It will all depend on what is in over abundance at the time of the hunt. This is a regularly catalogue hunt as I said in the ad. It is not a "special" to thin out x,y,z species. I purposely did not name specific species as the ones that you or other might be interested in might not be available at the time of the hunt. If you book this you'll just need to leave it up to the PH as to what you can shoot.

Species available at the time of the hunt could be any of the common Namibian species such as:

Blue wildebeest
Blesbok
Eland
Kudu
Zebra Mountain and Plains
Oryx
Red hartebeest
Springbok
Warthog

I hunted with Diethelm and Katja years ago but still keep up with them annually at the shows. Great people, great facilities, superb hunting. Buy with confidence if this hunt is up your alley...

Mark, my wife and are interested in this offer she would not be hunting. What other animals would she likely be able to sight (elephant giraffe etc) thanks

AXEL 19 booked the Sept dates. The other dates mentioned are open as well as some where a shared camp might be possible. Hunters should inquire about dates that would work for them.
