Guys not to soon to get ready for next fall elk hunt.
I have a variety of opportunities.
This batch of hunts are land owner tags or Unit Wide tags only.
These tags give you the opportunity to buy over the counter license for a particular area.

I have (3) Late December Bull hunts on a private ranch in unit 48. Again non guided plus license. $3500 ONLY 3 Left.

Also (1) Unit 48 Unit wide tag follows the New Mexico regular elk seasons. $3500 non guided.

On all hunts there is a lodge with great accommodations and food for $100 / night per person.

All hunts are 5 days in lenght.
The Unit wide follow the dates of New Mexico unit hunts.
The other hunts are any 5 consecutive days
The best time is December.

What size bulls are typical for the area(s)?

The first hunter gave up after one day his legs where bothering him and he could not walk.
The next two hunters I have no idea they only hunter 2 days, the lodge owner seen 5 bulls within 500 yards of the cabin but the hunters where nowhere to be found.
The only hunter was a lady she hunted and was successful.
This area has potential for 300 plus Bulls
My guide in that area and the ranch owner seen many Bulls in the 330 to 340 range.
I recommend the later the better in this area.

If interested I can have you talk with the lady that hunted it.
Just email me for contact info.

What is the size of the ranch with landowner vouchers? Are there roads to get around the property or is it strickly start walking from the lodge?

The late December hunt the ranch is over a section .
It is a area elk come down to off the mountain.
There are roads but elk hunting requires movement and walking is required.
The elk do come down to the open fields but usually late and need to be prepared for some longer shots.
The terrain is light mountains and som hay fields.
This time of year you never know when the elk will move not like the earlier seasons. They tend to come out even in the late mornings.
Just needs to be hunted.
Call me any time
Larry
