Outfitter: T&C Safaris

Agent: Global Hunting Resources

Location: Namibia - Ehirivipuka Conservancy

Species: Lion

Dates: September & October, 2010

T&C Safaris Namibia have (2) Free Range male lions still available in the Ehirovipuka Conservancy bordering the Etosha National Park.  Male lions regularly move in and out of Etosha National Park, and into the concession area. The outfitter would prefer to do the hunt in September/October as he feels it will be best at that time. He has told me that they have been seeing two big males together, but by themselves, fairly frequently. This will also be a unique opportunity, as the possibility to track the lion may well take place. Baiting will be utilized too, but depending on the conditions and exact location at the time, tracking a lion here, could happen.

Ehirovipuka conservancy is 495,000 acres of pristine, breathtaking, un-spoiled, unfenced Africa, located in north western Namibia in the Kaokoland region. It borders the western border of Etosha National Park for over 40 kilometres in the north.  The conservancy is tribal land owned and inhabited by the Otjiherero tribe. There is no game fence around the conservancy. A Namibian Government veterinary fence can be seen along a part of the conservancy to keep domestic cattle from going north into Angola. Game migrate from the Kunene river bordering Angola in the north down to the south of the concession. Desert elephant and desert lion migrate from the Kunene river, from Etosha National Park, and from the west coast, inland to the conservancy during the different seasons following the rain for vegetation and the lions for the Springbuck, Oryx, and Hartmann's Zebra.
