Picked up a new young guide from the Yukon sheep hills and would like to build his local experience on goats for the future, so running two Scout hunts. Plan is to try a new drainage, we have 2,100 square miles of top goat territory and will never see it all. Have done two of these Scout hunts, 2015 resulted in one Billy and 2016 two Billies, including our largest to date. You're hunting at half rate and need clients to be able to provide their own backpacking gear, be able to hike deep into new areas, and be willing to accept a guide who is junior on the species though certified and experienced outdoors. I may send my head guide on the August one to keep him busy depending how scheduling goes but consider that an unexpected bonus if it happens. I'll take gun trades for nice SxS shotguns and rifles, English or Mauser made bolt actions, but I stick to the well known makers. Pricing is, (these are for 2017 only), August 2017 1x1 $6900US plus charter $1500, tag / licence / harvest / HPF / tax ($1000 total). I'll do a 2x1 at $5500 each and you guys can split the flight cost. October 2017 long hair $7900US plus same as above, 2x1 at $6900. This is by far the best rate going on a BC coastal long hair goat hunt, one third the neighbours. You'll be going to utter and complete wilderness, with no roads, no other humans, big Grizzlies and mountains every direction to the horizon (and way past). Flights are into and out of Smithers, BC.
