For sale is one private landowner either sex antelope tag in Cimarron County Oklahoma. Private land consists of approximately 2500 acres. Hunting season is September 10th thru 13th, 2009. Any method of take. Cost of tag is $1500 plus additional state required antelope license, if required. Oklahoma Lifetime License holders are exempt from an antelope license; therefore, no additional cost. Oklahoma Resident hunters without a Lifetime License will be required to purchase the $51.00 antelope license. Nonresident hunters are not required to purchase an annual hunting license, but must purchase the state required antelope license for $306.00. The additional antelope license fee is required at the time of tag transfer into your name. Lodging and meals can be found in Boise City, OK or Elkhart, KS approximately 15-20 miles from hunting area. ------------------- Another private landowner either sex antelope tag is available in Texas County Oklahoma. Private land for this tag consists of approximately 2500 acres. Hunting season is September 10th thru 13th, 2009. Cost of tag is $1500 plus additional antelope license, if required, as specified above. If you desire to purchase both tags, total cost of both tags will be $2700 plus required antelope license fee(s), if needed. Expected size of buck antelope is in the 13-15” range. Antelope tags in Oklahoma are an once-in-a-lifetime draw hunt; therefore, this is a great chance to pick up an extra Oklahoma antelope, which will not count against your once-in-a-lifetime draw. Shot opportunities at a typical antelope buck will be about 80-85%. Tags must be transferred on or before August 28, 2009. Tags are being sold privately as well. Tags will be sold on a first come first served basis. I hunted on one of these permits in 2005. I had my buck on the ground by 8:30 am the first day and he was the fourth buck we looked at that morning. Here is a picture of the buck with horns right at 14”, which would be a typical antelope for this area. Hunting area is going to be CRP and croplands. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or contact me regarding these antelope permits. Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Pardon me if I am wrong, but I thought Oklahoma Antelope tags for Non-Residents were issued thru a lottery, including the tags Land Owners receive. I could be wrong on this but I had a gentleman I was talking to during 2008 that stated that he recieved "X" number of depredation tags for antelopes as a land owner for his places in the counties you mention, and that if I could get drawn he would let me come up there to shoot one. Did I misunderstand the way the system works? Even the rocks don't last forever.

All landowner tags are considered depredation tags; however, they are transferable. For example, there is currently one posted on Ebay with a minimum bid of $1800. The information I posted about the transfer of the tags and the license fees came straight off the notification letter from the State. This farm received 6 landowner tags for the 2009 season over 20,000 acres +/- 10%. We hunted this farm 2-3 years ago for depredation does only. We filled all 10 doe tags over a weekend; needless to say, getting a shot at an antelope is not that hard. Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."
