Shot January / February 2015 Shot February 2015 One of the operators I work with in Cameroon has informed me that he has one last Eland left to sell for the 2016 season. The price is truly unbeatable. I have personally hunted with him and so have other clients of mine and I can share first hand information on this hunt. 1x1 Lord Derby Eland + 4 species from B/C - €16.900, Eland + buffalo or roan or korrigum (topi) + 4 species from B/C = €18.900 Price Includes: • Transfer to camp and return to Ngaoundere or Garoua • All meals • Daily laundry • Accommodation in safari style camp • PH and team • 4WD hunting vehicle • Alcoholic beverages (no champagne) • First preparation of trophies in camp Price does not include: • Big game hunting license 1.000 euros • Gun permits, visas, flights • Trophy fees • Pre-taxidermy in camp • Accommodation and meals outside camp • Crating and export documentation of trophies • Shipment of trophies to final destination Dates: Arrive Douala on 18th February Fly to Ngaoundere on the 19th of February where you will be met by the outfitter and drive to camp Hunt: 20th to 3rd March Depart on 4th March Trophy fees in EUROS -------------------- Eland €2.000 Korrigum 1.000 Water Buck 600 Bushpig 250 Red river hog 250 Western Buffons Kob 250 Baboon 150 Patas Monkey 150 Bohor Reedbuck 250 Hyena 600 Harnessed Bushbuck 250 Western Hartebeest 500 Warthog 250 Oribi 200 Grimms Duiker 200 Red Flanked duiker 200 Serval 400 Caracal 400 If you have priced a LD hunt recently you will know that the daily rate and t/fees are extremely reasonable for this hunt. The dates are prime dates to target an Eland with a dark neck that they get during this time of the year. Later dates in May, might be available. The latest news coming out of Central African Republic is very troublesome and all reports are that the Giant Eland there have been decimated with the poaching and cattle herders coming in to the area. The problem is so bad that one of the well known operators who has been featured on these pages has decided to stop hunting for Eland next year I am told! This problem is also getting bad in Cameroon. The days of hunting Lord Derby eland are fast coming to an end. Go now before it is too late. This is the last place on earth where you can hunt these magnificent antelope. This is a good sign on your Eland hunt, a bull has broken this really thick branch (small tree) to feed. They put the branch between their horns and with a twist of the neck break it like match stick. The power in that neck is unbelievable. I don't know how far this is true or if it is local talk, but I was told that Eland like to eat two plants in particular, one of them is very poisonous for the Eland and the other one is the antidote. So they eat the poisonous one first and then eat the antidote. Supposedly these plants are always found in the same area! Thanks for looking. The client who bought the hunt just informed me that he cannot go in 2016 and has rescheduled for 2017. So this hunt is back on the market. If you compare the daily rates and t/fees you will see that this is the most reasonably priced Eland hunt out there. Thanks for looking, Arjun Reddy Hunters Networks Tel: 845 259 3628 | |||
