I have a question: Why is your price so much lower than anyone else's for leopard?
Thanks

Doesn't look out of line to me. You can find these hunts from the low to high price range and everything in between. Nothing wrong with his pricing compared to many

Mike,
This is the first 14 day leopard hunt I've seen for $5,000 with a $5,000 trophy fee. I've seen some inexpensive hunts, but the money was in the daily rates, with little refunded if unsuccessful.
I'm hoping my next safari will be for leopard, so I'm not just stirring the pot, but am sincerely interested.

Dirk, I looked at your website and you seem to have a very nice place for a good price.

Lot's of references too.

I wish that I could do your Leopard hunt this year!

What is your success rate?

It looks like someone is going to buy a good hunt.

Good luck!

Out of sheer curiosity:

1. No Lion ?
2. Price on Request for Sable and Roan when
all other game is quoted - why would that be?

Fujo

You are starting a pissing match--your questions have nothing to do with the Leopard offer.

I don't know why you do this , but please stop--you aren't the offer police.

Namibian leopard hunts are priced somewhat less than a lot of other countries. Don't know why. This gives a lot of hunters who can't afford a expensive hunt a good chance to take a leopard.

CrossL:

I read the post and am entitled to ask questions. You are jumping to conclusions.

"All other terms and conditions of the hunt will be as outlined on the website. www.orpahunt.com"

From the pictures and diversity of animals illustrated the area looks ideal for Lion hunting and the other 2 animals are listed as quoted - anything wrong in asking?

There is no reason some of the pricing shouldn't vary. Outfitters are probably made to charge a trophy fee based on the State's requirements. Some add to that cost, some don't.

Day rates can certainly fluctuate and if the outfitter owns his/her land then there can be quite a bit of flexibility.

I don't know Dirk but he has a great offer here.

Fuju- sable and roan are more than likely POR because they are fenced and he may not have them on his property (and thus must be gotten elsewhere locally would be my guess).

Hi there,

I hunted PG with Dirk in October 2010. He is a straight up guy, his accommodations are terrific, he has access to lots of property including his own ranch and we saw lots of game.

I would encourage anyone interested in this hunt to reach out to Dirk and call/e-mail his references, there are many on his website including me.

Best,

Patrick

Hi Everyone

Sorry for responding so late. I was at the coast from the 29th and with no internet I did not see all the questions.
I will try to answer everyone’s questions but I will also post this mail to everyone to see.

I was hunting in April /May Leopard and he was not successful with the hunt. We saw a one Leopard but after he shot it, it did not meet the standards to export it.
With only one tag I will never book more than one hunter and with date from 3rd of June available I try to get a hunter for this time that way the Leopard hunt was U$ 10 000.00. This was good dates to hunt Leopard.

Other dates open will be in September but at the moment a hunter ask for these dates.
Before this tag system on Leopard and all the regulations all the hunters that hunted Leopard with me shot one.

Animals on my website with prices on request are animals on ranches that do not belong to me.
I don’t want to sell an animal to a hunter and after you shot it prices go up.
This is where I come up for the hunter.

I always send an agreement to the hunter who wants to hunt Leopard before the hunt.

Nice hunting for everyone.

Greetings
Dirk
