Maybe this is not the place, but what would be most recommended set leg gators to purchase? Thanks in advance...

Ii like the KUIU gaiters. Then again, Boyt (think that is how it is spelled) are fine and priced around $15-20 last I saw.

I have been using Kenetrek gaiters for a few years and have found them to be great.

I have KUIU and Kenetrek LEG gaiters, among others, and they are great. For ANKLE gaiters I usually go with Boyt ankle gaiters, Courtney ankle gaiters, an ankle gaiter made in Texas (forgot the name-but it has a small Texas flag sewn on it-similar to Boyt's), Tag ankle gaiters, or a dark (black) ankle gaiter made in Australia out of waxed cloth. My go-to ankle gaiters, more often than not, are the Boyts.

I brought some British Mil surplus gators from the sportsman guide.

You well not find a tougher one. I paid like 5 dollars for them. I see they went up in price. One might find them cheaper if one looks.
