Itinerary:

Day 1: August 1st. Arrive in Moscow, meet and greet with outfitter and clear rifles through customs. Transfer to hotel for overnight, evening tour of city with English speaking guides can be arranged if required.
Day 2: Depart Moscow for Yakutsk 6.5-hour flight. Upon arrival transfer to hunting area via local village 430 klm by minibus, overnight in hotel (US$50 per person)
Day 3: Depart local village in ATV modified Russian truck into hunting camp 300 klm camp overnight on way.
Day 4: Arrive in hunting camp morning. Camp consists of wooden hunting lodge and sauna.
Day 5 to 11: Hunting sheep.
Day 12: Depart camp for local village overnight in hotel.
Day 13: Arrive in Yakutsk overnight in Hotel.
Day 14: Depart Yakutsk for Moscow overnight in Hotel.
Day 15: August 15th Depart Moscow for home.

These hunts have been a 100% success and there will be an Australian guide accompanying the group of 4 hunters.

Usually 5 days is more than enough to take a good sheep. It’s important to be in good shape as there are no horses and you will be hiking up to 10-15 klm per day. A good sheep trophy is around 35 inches, these are the smallest of the Russian sheep species.
