Please educate me, are there free range Himalayan Tahr in Bulgaria that are huntable? I was under the impression that apart for a few very rare permits in the Himalayas the only place you could hunt these were in New Zealand.

I'm sure the OP will reply to your question but Himalayan Tahr are present, via introduction, in Argentina, South Africa and USA ( California and Texas I believe ) as well as New Zealand. Apart from New Zealand I'm not sure which of these populations are free ranging and / or huntable. I stand to be corrected on this comment but think somewhwre I might have seen mention of Himalayan Tahr in Spain also ... ?? Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

I think aside Himalayas and NZ, it is all fenced areas This affair is for fenced area as it is stated in there Nothing wrong with fenced areas as long as they are decent size and that is to be shown in offer

Ah, I missed the sentence that it was a fenced area. Also interesting to hear they have been introduced elsewhere as well. Thanks for educating me and sorry for this sidetrack of the thread.

Himalayan Tahr was introduced In Bulgaria years ago , but they are still in fence areas. Not free range. In Bulgaria we get 5-6 permits for big old bulls and 5/6 permits for 4/5 years old bulls.
