Hell of a deal and size?
Without being able to bring it back?
It don't matter then

Does anyone know of any legal way to take this elephant now and wait until export opens again? Seems like a waste to not get the ivory home.

Rastaman you should own the ivory depending upon what type of hunt you do. So the choice should be yours... Store it at a taxidermist in his vault. Or at a friends place. Or export it to a country that allows you to import it to.

Not accurate. If the ban is lifted there will no imports of ivory taken during the ban.

It certainly does matter. I am sure plenty of elephant hunters have second homes in other countries where import is allowed.

Hi Jeff, is that written in stone? I have not heard that and the idea was that if F&WL found their policy to be wrong they would open it up from the original ban date. you may know something I don't.
