Nice prices. I'd love to hunt Namibia, but it'll take me a couple more years to save up and convince my wife that I need to come back to Africa a 2nd time.

As I recently told my significant other...

Life is short. Take the trip. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. You need to go back because you don't know what the future may hold.

My wife and son and I had a terrific time hunting with Jan this last July. We were treated like family and Jan's wife, Mariesje prepared wonderful meals from the game we took. My wife had a great time as a nonhunter. Highly recommended.

I hunted with Jan and Mariesje at Sebra Hunting Safaris in 2012, 2013 and 2015 (two surgeries in 2014 and 2016). I'll be back in April 2017. You can view my "Hunting Reports-Africa" on this website, complete with pictures. They're found on page 11 (2015), page 28 (2013) and page 32 (2012). It's an awesome place with wonderful people.

Hey Bud Meadows. Thanks for the heads up on your pics. I liked what I saw, (except for the Jaegermeister, made my stomach do a slow roll!). Anyway, word of mouth reports like yours are what I look for when researching destinations, and yours put Sebra on the radar for me. Best of luck (and no surgeries) in 2017

Just a bump up for a friend. Been going there a lot since 2008. Will be there twice this year. Great place and great time always. Nice thing is you're not sharing a camp. It's just you an your hunting partner and/or observers. You've got the entire place to yourselves.

Anyone want details, just PM me.

Any rains yet in/around Outju? How about Etosha?

If anybody is considering this hunt, in addition to Etosha, the Himba Village, and Twyfelfontein - may I suggest ending the holiday with a trip to the Skeleton Coast (touring towns and coast/shipwrecks, shark fishing, quad riding in desert with stops at archeological sites). Makes for a really great overall trip especially when on vacation with family/observers. The USD is strong now, and touring prices should reflect this.

Hi Bill:

They've had very scattered and light rains in his area so far this year. This past Sunday night/Monday morning their time they had 15mm. Sat radar has been showing good bit of activity over/around Etosha and a lot more across the boarder in Angola and over Botswana.

Current Sat radar is showing some really good activity over central and north central Namibia heading WNW so maybe a few more mm for him today/tonight.

Best part of their "rainy season" is coming over the next couple of months and they, as well as the rest of the country are very hopeful. He said the wind patterns have been getting to where they have historically produced decent rains. No personal contacts in the Caprivi Strip/Kavango Region, but Sat. radar has been pretty promising.

Will be really, really bad if the country doesn't get adequate rain this year.
Keeping everything I can cross crossed not only for their area but the entire country.

According to the Weather Channel app, there's an 80% chance of rain next week in the Kamanjab area, each day starting Wednesday 2/8 through 2/15. Good news for Jan at Sebra Hunting Safaris and his neighbor ranches.
