Well, here it is! After almost 10 years of being a member here on Accurate Reloading I am offering my first hunt. We have expanded slightly and because of this I am offering these hunts

My partner is Sergio Tapia and he and I are the outfitters for these hunts. The hunts are for desert mule deer and coues deer and the locations of the ranches are located around Hermosillo Sonora Mexico. Sergio owns 2 of the ranches that we hunt and we lease the other properties. This past season was the 16th season I have hunted Sergio's ranches and the 18th season I have spent guiding and outfitting in Sonora Mexico. You would fly in and out of Hermosillo. Currently, there is only one other American that I know of that is still operating in Sonora with more experience and he has me by one year.

The dates are as follows...

January 6-13
January 13-20
January 20-27

The camps are very comfortable with beds, toilets, showers with hot water and comfortable living areas. We have full time camp cooks that prepare breakfast lunch and dinner and will keep the camp house very clean
We are extremely selective about the ranches we hunt and have hunted a number of them for over a decade. The ranches that we lease are leased exclusively to us which is not the case for a lot of outfitters down there. Because we lease our ranches exclusively we purchase every tag for the ranches. We NEVER sell all of the tags, we manage these ranches for mature deer. I don't feel that anybody can beat our track record over the years for killing mature deer, in fact, our clients killed the biggest deer in Mexico in 2003(232") and in 2004(234")

We have a couple different options for the hunts this year and all hunts are 1 on 1

6 day mule deer hunt--$8k base fee with a $2,500 harvest fee for any mule deer. There will also be a $2,500 harvest fee for any coues deer

12 day mule deer hunt--$12k base fee with no harvest fee for the first mule deer and a $6k harvest fee for a second mule deer. There will also be a $2,500 harvest fee for coues deer

There is also an administrative cost of $600 for all hunts that cover all of the firearms paperwork and import/export paperwork.

Please feel free to contact me at (970)227-4222 or email me at huntsonora@comcast.net if you have any questions

Thanks guys,

Drummond Lindsey

Thank you Clift! We still talk to this day about the buck that you and Sergio saw on the fenceline that day! Every time we drive by there we stare at that spot in awe knowing that a true Sonoran giant stood behing that tree!

I will get more pictures uploaded to photobucket and post em up asap

How can you sell these hunts for giant mule deer when your pictures make it clear you must have already killed all the big bucks in Mexico?

Some day. A lotta bone on those heads!

We have Mexican guides with every hunter and our guides have been with us for many years. Sergio and I then rotate with the hunters. Sergio was educated at Fresno State University and took english classes in Boston. He is fluent in English.

I have a guy I guide with here in CO that wants to come back down this next season and it wont be a hard sell as he LOVES it down there

I found the matching set of sheds off this buck this past January from when he was a 3yr old. Guaranteed same deer and the sheds were probably 8 years old and chalky

A landowner called Sergio the other day and asked us to book a couple of hunts on his ranch for this upcoming season. These are the trail cam pictures he sent us from his place. Sergio will be heading out to look at his place in the next few days...
