smarterthanuI have hunted with Leon for years now. The area has those really big leopard that the Lowveld is known for. Here is one I shot, seven feet four inches.
I have also shot 4 buffalo forty inches or better there. Last year I saw no less than eight buffalo 40+ before taking this monster.
One of the best safaris I was ever part of was there. On this safari we killed 2 kudu, one eland, one bush buck, 2 leopard, 6 zebra, 2 buffalo (one was 45+ inches), 3 warthogs, and countless baboons and impala.
Everybody talks about how great the Save Conservancy is, and I can tell you that Leon's property is the gem in that crown. I'll be back there in September looking to be that first person to kill a 50 incher out of the Save.

I have hunted here for buff and leopard. This place is hard to beat. Not to mention Leon and Mike are about as good as they get.

Jerry HuffakerI have customers who have hunted with Leon, and they had nothing but great things to say about everything. Wonderful place to take your family too.

nyamarakitiWe just had a client kill a nice bull on Saturday. As you can see the bush is very thick right now. Client was on the heals of buff almost everyday but finaly ran across this big boy.
We still have lots of dates available in October. It is getting hot then but the buff hunting is even hotter. Great time of year to go if you want to sort through lots of buffalo for a monster.

505 gibbsI have hunted with Leon twice, I have never hunted a place with more species and rich concentration of game. This is a top notch hunt run by quality people. Leons wife Judy runs a top notch camp as well.
This is a leopard I shot in '08

If I was looking for Leopard or Buffalo, I cannot think of a reason to go anywhere else. From what I have seen personally and heard from others (who know far more than me), The Save conservancy is one of a few "jewel" destinations for monster Buffalo. I may be wrong, but I think Leon and Mike averaged 40+ inches on their buff last year, I guess you could go to a couple of prime blocks in TZ and do as good, but you would have to mortgage your house and sell a kidney.
