1X1 10 DAYS $14,335

Price includes daily rates, all government fees fees and dip pack

Extras:

Trophy fees
Charter or road transfer
Gratuities

Available dates:

13-29 May Thick cover and up close buff hunting
11-20 June Cool weather bush still fairly thick
11-17 july Beautiful weather and drying bush

Trophy fees (these are considerably cheaper even than Zim making the total safari quite economical)

The Luangwa is one of my favorite places to hunt. It's real wild africa with lions serenading you throughout the night, hippos carying on just beyond your front door and hyenas wildly cackling.

Oh man... a top-notch outfit and a super concession for DG!

DIEZ,

My client with the DuPlooys have taken buffalo in the 38"-42" range. Larger are definitely possible particularly on the late season hunt. On the croc I would expect about 12 feet. There are lots of buffalo in the area and the river is loaded with crocs. I personally have seen 21 crocs on one sandbar in the Luangwa.

Quite a variety of common game animals available but in this area I would definitely try for the following in addition to the buffalo/croc.

Cookson's wildebeest (if available quota) $2,250
Puku $450
Chobe bushbuck $500
Hyena (not easy) $500

Hippo you will get the first morning if you shoot well as there are many.

Anything else????

Mark

Mike,

This is a great cat area witnessed by the quota on leopard being sold out through '11 and only one lion being left for '11. Elephant are abundant but not on quota. This is not a fabulous plains game area but you'll find zebra, waterbuck kudu, impala (hundreds), warthog plus grysbok, baboon and monkeys. Reedbuck and oribi are there but not plentiful.

Chanjusi also has, in limited numbers, roan, wildebeast and Lichenstein Hartebeast.

Scott,

I think the roan and hartebeest may be even more scarce than the reedbuck and oribi. I saw all 4 species ten years ago in the adjacent concession and in fact killed a big roan but he was the only one I saw in 21 days. I wouldn't want anybody to get the impression that these species could be expected on their safari.

I missed an eland while there and heard it was the first seen in about 10 years. We hunted roan in "the hills" above Cotton Gordons old camp, seeing a few, but were unsuccesfull. I think you are honest and wise by not counting on it.
