I would love a springbok grand slam. Especially a copper. I want a Baboon as well. PE is a great area. Hunted with the Rudman's there.

Phil, thanks, could you email me with your email address please? I lost it when my laptop got burnt. LittleJoe you're right - I grew up in the area and PE is great. This hunt will be about 3 hours from PE further inland in the Steynsburg vicinity. Mostly comprises of wide open plains so long shots of 200 yards + is to be expected. Pardon my igornance but why does it appear that the Springbok in RSA have shorter horns than in Namibia? Different subspecies?

LittleJoe, The Springbok in SA (for the most part) do indeed have shorter (and thinner) horns than those found in Namibia where they are also known as the Kalahari Springbok. Both Rowland Ward and SCI recognize the two as different sub species with different mininmum requirements to make the book.
