Just a thought but on a non exportable tuskless hunt, what is the $550 "Trophy Preparation Fee" for?

I suspect trophy prep is on hide, tail hair etc. Gavin is a good guy. My last info is that he hunts Dande North. I haven't hunted there, but have always wanted to since reading Months of the Sun.

The area is Dande North

We have taken all of our bull elephants on quota this year , the biggest being 46 lbs with long ivory.

Thanks
Gavin

The "trophy preparation fee" is for the export of the hide, ears, feet , tails etc. if you are not wanting the above the trophy preparation fee will not apply.

I am confused. if it is tusk less and non exportable, are you allowed to export the other body parts?

Yes. I have done both. I am not sure what the difference is but in some areas the tuskless is exportable and other areas it is not. It would limited to hide, feet and tail, mostly likely the ears tanned.
