I apologize, I forgot to mention that the State Licenses of $420 ea are the responsibility of the hunter.

Mark-

The lodging will be at the NRA Whittington Center. I am not sure of the exact facility. The facility was donated by NRA. This was a donated hunt to the Legislative Sportsmans Caucus for Auction by Vermejo and NRA. I donated the cost of a Vermejo Guides. The buyer cannot make the hunt now and has asked me to try and get his auction price back.

Hope this helps. If you and Jane have not been this area of NM, I believe you will truly love it. However, it is in December and snow could be a factor.

These are awesome hunts. I go every year and fill my freezer with a years worth of heart-healthy low cholesterol red meat. IMHO cow elk is the best, mildest flavored of all wild game contingent to the continental U.S. These are totally wild free ranging elk. No growth hormones or antibiotics.
I'm not going to say that these hunts are 100% successful but I have always taken my elk before the third day of a three day hunt. The elk are there. This is not a physically demanding hunt. I'm 70 years old with severe arthritis and I get my elk every year.
The Whittington Center is an awesome place for a shooter to visit. They have 10 or 12 shooting ranges all set against the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The ranges are normally closed on the week-ends during December and January, but the center is open.

We just thought of something.....if you choose to take these hunts, you should just pay the auction winner directly. If we run the checks through our books, NMGRT applies. If you pay him back for his loss, I do not believe the tax is applicable. Save some $'s.

Morning, Jim!

Jane (aka the She-Wolf) says that we'll take both of these and we can sort out the lodging details and any NMGRT applicability on Tuesday.

She woke up feeling bloody this morning, I guess. That's my gal! Wink
