Folks, we are sold out for elephant for 2011, but as there was great interest at DSc in 2012 elephant hunts, here is what we where offering, extended to bookings for 2012:

Caprivi, Namibia 2012.
12 day hunt, 2 days travelling (14 days total) hunt for one trophy elephant bull in Sobbe conservancy.
Average size to be expected: 40-60lbs.
Accommodation is in a permanent tented camp, with cement slab floors, running hot water and flush toilets. 2 beds per tent, each tent has separate bathroom. (2 client tents and 2 PH tents).
Dayfees @ US$ 1250 per hunting day (including 15% VAT), for a total of US$ 15 000.
Trophy fee @ US$ 15 000 for any size trophy bull. (No sliding scale on weight.)
All inclusive therefore US$ 30 000-00
Other game that may be added are:
Leopard US$ 5 000
Kudu US$ 1500
Zebra US$ 1 500
Warthog US$ 400
Duiker US$ 400
Roan US$ 9 500
Hyena US$ 750

Book before 31 January 2011 and receive the following free (Saving of US$ 4 200):
• Transfer from Victoria Falls airport and back (Usually US$ 300 one way, plus US$ 500 for the 2 travelling days)
• One non-hunting observer free (Usually US$ 250 per day, so saving of US$ 3 000)
• Firearms permit for transit through Botswana (Usually US$ 100).

(Booking constitutes 25% deposit on whole package (US$ 7 500), another 25% before 31st January 2012, and the rest 60 days prior to hunt. In case hunter does not shoot elephant, he/ she can get either US$ 15 000 back, or a free retry witin 12 months.)

Included are: full hunting days with experienced PH (likely myself) and well trained staff, all food, drinks and accomodation while in hunting camp.

Excluded are all taxidermy charges, personal extras, all accomodation/ travel/ food/ drinks before safari as well as extra game shot.

I was there in 2010, and saw probably 250 Elephant in 10 days...bulls in the 35-70 lb range. Great area, as long as you can handle "Herr Stumpfe" for the duration!!!
