"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Prime months May to August...is that due to general rut? Would have thought waterhole hunts better later in year as it heats up.

Cooler months May-August. Tough sitting in a blind with it 85-100 degrees during the Summer months (southern hemisphere). Drought can bring game to any water source and it's been dry in RSA. The heat doesn't bother African wildlife per se, just we humans, so your welcome to hunt anytime. April-May is good rut time for Kudu for instance. Our higher altitude makes it more comfortable in earlier/later warm months as a general rule, but Mother Nature controls all.
