I have a spot in the schedule open up due to lack of kodiak bear tags...
Oct 20-30 2011
Hunt cost $12,000
Eastern alaska, wrangell mts on an exclusive guide use area, I have teamed up with an outfitter in the area and have salmon streams and realativly easy hunting conditions in the river valleys of the wrangell mtns.
Did this hunt last year, took two bears for two clients in 5 days, both on the salmon streams.
Bears appear to be more like grizzlies, and average between 7 and 8 foot with unbelievable hides!! wolf are in the area and can be taken as well if a tag is purchased.

What is the cost to get to the hunting area from Anchorage?

How much for license and tags for grizzly, goat and wolf?

i pick you up in anchorage and deliver you back, all transportation during the hunt is covered in the price.
hunting license 85
grizz tag 500
wolf tag 30
goat is 300 (i got an email from the guy with the area yesterday and not sure if he wants to add the goat at this point or not, might be able to just do it on a trophy fee once we are there, i can figure that out when someone tells me they are interested in actually doing it.)

You are right. Jake went on to say that the currently taken bear was feeding on the old bear carcass.

Do you hunt out of the Outfitter's base camp or is this strictly a self sufficient backpack hunt?

sometimes we hunt for a few days from the lodge, then we sometimes fly out and stay in a heated base camp for the bears.

goat stuff is backpacking.
hunt is sold pending vacation schedule....
