We have three bull elephant left to sell in Dande East for this season. Council made a mistake with our tender and as a result they have agreed for this year that we can sell them at a much reduced price so that the community can still benefit from trophy fees, meat etc as we have been compromised with marketing time.

They can be sold individually or as a double/ triple ele bull hunt.
Trophy expectation should be in the +35 to 40 lbs with larger possible. Biggest shot in last 3 season 70lbs with a few in the 50 lbs range.

.

Price:

1x1 10 DOUBLE ELE BULL $500/day
ELE BULL $ 12000 (EA)
2% GOV LEVY ON DAILY RATES $100.
4% GOV LEVY ON TROPHY FEES $960
DRIVE IN AND OUT US$300
DIP AND PACK US$600
CITES TAG US$100 PER ELE
MARS $100
CAMERMAN US$150/DAY (OPTIONAL)

TOTAL HUNT COST=US$31260 ( EXCLUDING CAMERMAN)
IF SECOND ELE NOT SHOT US$12000 RETURNED

1x1 10 SINGLE ELE BULL $500/day
ELE BULL $ 12000
2% GOV LEVY ON DAILY RATES $100.
4% GOV LEVY ON TROPHY FEES $480
DRIVE IN AND OUT US$300
DIP AND PACK US$600
CITES TAG US$100 PER ELE

Martin,

Formula is "Boss width, times, distance of tusk outside of ear on longer side, minus the number of staples it takes to staple Ross's toe back on" equals weight of ivory

Buzz,

That is one heck of a good offer on the elephant, I am already booked for this year and just bought a new double, but maybe just maybe.

Yikes! That double bull hunt is a great offer. If only I was retired, but then I wouldn't have the money!

505 Gibbs:

Your question needs to be as follows:

"Buzz,

Will you pick me up in Harare or somewhere else?"

You need an ele. Time to go. It won't get any cheaper than this.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

The dates are listed at the end of the initial post.

This is a helluva deal for someone with a little schedule flexibility.

Hi Rine

Having occasionaly been in the dog house before ( and that was with my girlfriend- not even a wife!) I certainly do not want to subject you the same experience!

So for your info we have sold two of the eles. We got news that Rich Tabor who is doing an ele bull hunt in the North for us shot a +55lbs yesterday which is great!

Rine the bad news for you that still leaves one ele open! Cheers Buzz

Buzz has done some post-hunt marital counseling in the past... He gives good advice, "...just buy her something expensive at the DeBoers Diamond Shop at OR Tambo on the way out...".
