For those few who may have attended the recent hunting convention in Denmark would have noticed my booth empty and my PH Thor Kirchner absent. No he did not abscond with a Danish hooker he was reclining in a comfortable hospital bed recovering from a bout of malaria. Munyamadzi had reserved some quota specifically for him to sell here and this now is very much available and includes desirables such as Leopard, Roan, Kudu, Waterbuck, Puku, Hippo and croc in one of the finest Luangwa areas in Zambia.

The AR rule is to advertise prices and therefore I will outline some of the packages that I am prepared to offer but they are not cast in stone. I am not sure if one has to advertise trophy fees here, but if so I am sure Saeed will remind me?

Area - Munyamadzi is an unfenced private reserve situated 100km south of the famous South Luangwa National Park and a haven for big game. We offer you the exclusive and sole hunting rights to the property and with the exception of the hunting team this part of old Africa is still uninhabited by man and very remote.

PH’s – Either myself as one of the owners or my right hand man and former apprentice Thor Kirchner.

Hunt 1 - Roughly two weeks hunting for Leopard. I say roughly because if you want to say on a couple of days then be my guest. Bring a second hunter and they pay observer fees only and I will cover the cost of a second hunting license. Cost = $19,000 All inclusive apart from trophy fees. Basically includes, transfer by vehicle, all government, hunting license fees and dip & pack. The earlier the better for cats and I have space in July, which is considered prime time.

Hunt 2 - Looking for a big croc? We have a monster residing just outside and upstream from one of our boundaries. I am fairly sure he will break 15 feet if we can get him to bait. If not you will have to settle for something in the 12 – 13 foot category but then again who knows what will turn up when hunting croc. You will require a big bait and recommend a trophy bull Hippo or one of the large antelope species. Again roughly ten days will do. Same conditions as above = $12,000. This hunt would be best in June and needs to be the first hunt for croc.

Hunt 3 – Lower Luangwa has one of the highest concentrations of Kudu and Roan in Zambia and Munyamadzi is no exception. Hunt Kudu on foot in the craggy escarpments of old Africa. In contrast the other spiral horn well worth hunting is the Chobe bushbuck that inhabit the dense cover of the Luangwa riverbank. As above ten days all inclusive apart from trophy fees = $12,000

Extras - If the six hour drive in is not for you then charters are an additional cost starting at about $1,000 each way, which is a rip off but a comfortable one and the flight follows the scenic Luano and Luangwa valley. Highly recommended even if you were only to do it once. If overnight accommodation is required outside the hunt then you are more than welcome to stay with my delightful wife and I. If not then Hotel accommodation is not included in the above prices, however alcohol is.

Let us say none of the above is not affordable but your desire is to hunt the Luangwa valley and to be in big game country and to experience the roar of a Lion or the grunt of a Leopard around the camp fire? And let us say your son would want to take his first African animal in such an environment. Then ask yourself how much that is worth and you send me a quote.

Looking both ahead and behind me ... two varmints that I have never hunted in Africa are croc and hippo ... (No quotas ... wouldn't be sporting in the mostly dry rivers ... etc. etc..on previous trips ) So a smart guy would probably book a combo hunt for the two of them in a country not yet hunted .. So Zambia or Mozambique seem to fit the bill ... Confused Smiler I would like the hunt in really wild country .. preferably in July or August so that I can take my wife with me to bring some beauty into the hunting camps .. (every PH that I ever had was not my type ... being all men ... thumbdown )

Hi Scruffy,

If you are considering Zambia then I can do a hippo and croc in July but not August. You will not get any wilder than Lower Luangwa.

Whilst we mainly hunt hippo in the river we have tried to catch them out on land first light which is exciting but not very productive.

What would be your expectations on size of croc?

You tell me how you want your safari to go for you and your wife and it will be done.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This Forum was setup to help both hunters looking for hunts and outfitters to who have special offers that others might take advantage of.

Please make sure the hunts you are offering meet the following:

1. FULL details and prices to be posted. Putting a link to your own site and saying that details are available there is NOT acceptable.

fairgame - please read these rules of saeeds. i would say that they would mean to include the trophy fees. this is done so that the client can easily add up numbers to see if he can afford the hunt or not. in addition it saves you needless calls from people who are interested but can't afford the trip

Thanks Butchloc.

I thought the hunt description was detailed enough and it is priced? Does it require more description?

Note there is no link to my site just my email address which by all accounts is mandatory?

Will post the trophy fees soonest but this was not very clear in the conditions.

Kamo Gari,

Quite right that does not read very well. I meant the prices and packages are flexible as such.

Hope this is a little clearer.

My first post here at AR Smiler I hunted last July with Andrew at Munyamadzi with our 25 year old son for three weeks. Not to be advertisement but this was our most enjoyable hunt in the several that we've taken on the "Dark Continent" over the last 20 years. Andrew and Thor are a outstanding PH's with a camp crew that is first rate. Munyamadzi is a thoroughly magical setting to see and experience. Thought I'd drop my two cents worth here. . .

PS Somewhere in a post I believed named Crocs there is a picture of Andrew and I with a nice croc we took there - a highlight of our time in Munyamadzi!

Guys,
I don't know if anybody has taken advantage of this offer as yet, but go to the trophy room forum and have a look around in my trophy room. In it you will find some of the finest trophies and memories a man could ever hope for and Zambia has given up. A fair amount have been taken with Andrew Baldry. That croc is nearly 15'

Africa...It's about men and dust and diesel, it sticks to your skin and cannot be washed away nor does it wain.

Nganga.
