Folks, Renaud who I work with on the Asian hunts I offer, is offering some Savanah hunts in Cameroon. These are fully guided hunts, hunting in a good concession out of a very nice camp. The hunting area is (70,000 hectares unfenced) located in north-west Cameroon. The camp is built on the edge of pools and waterfalls on the Faro river and offers Solar electricity, freezers and fridges, filtered water daily laundry. Guest rooms are equipped with attached bathroom. The dining room opens onto a terrace and river. The cuisine is French using fresh produce as well as some local specialties, Unlimited drinks (champagne is extra). The Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and will make your stay as pleasant as possible. You can also fish for Nile Perch. There are options to suit every budget so here goes: ANTELOPE HUNT 6 day antelope hunt, 2x1, 6,300 Euros each Observer 1,800 euros On this hunt you can each take up to 4 animals from List B below. * To this hunt add either buffalo OR Roan add 1,300E to the daily rate ** If you wish to take both buffalo and Roan add 1,800E to the daily rate Hunting permit is 600 Euros GRAND CHASSE 12 days, 2x1 14,000 Euros 12 days, 1x1 19,000 Euros Observer 3,000 Euros Hunting Permit 800 Euros On this hunt you can take 2 animals from Class A and 4 animals from Class B as listed below: CLASS A -------- LD Eland 2,500 Buffalo 1,150 Elephant 3,000 (dont think these are importable in to the States) Hippo 1,350 Roan 1,000 Lion 3,500 (they get 4 permits a year as there are lots of lion in their area and the chances of shooting one is very good, if one focuses on lion) CLASS B -------- Western Hartebeest 450 Kob 300 Waterbuck 550 Reedbuck 300 Harnessed Bushbuck 300 Python 300 Baboon 150 Hyena 500 Wharthog 250 Bushpig 300 Oribi 150 Above trophy fees are in Euros and include dip and pack and shipping of trophies up to France! Hunters will be met in Garoua and drive 4 hours to camp. There are flights from Paris to Garoua or you can fly via Douala as well. If you can tempt a friend to go this is a super deal on the 2x1 Grand Chasse for just Lord Derby Eland alone and Renaud tells me that 2 hunters will shoot their Eland in 12 days amongst other game. Season runs January to May, with Jan/Feb being the best months to go for the black dewlaps on the LD Eland. Thanks for looking.
