With the Mbarangandu block coming as a late addition to our Tanzanian operation, we struggled to sell the whole quota for 2019. We did however sell everything for 2020 as far as 21 day licenses goes.

We have a exclusive marketing arrangement with Tim Herald from WTA for marketing the TZ hunts online, but agreed that I can pick up the ball and run for this one to see if we can get someone to pick it up.

Mbarangandu Block is about 500k acres big and border the Southern Selous Blocks. We still fall under the jurisdiction of the Selous GR and our local Game Post is Kalulu. Some of you might know this block as previously operated by Game Frontiers Tanzania. It is a top block although it was plagued by the Ivory wars that was raging there until as recent as 2015.

We got it late last year, which made marketing the hunts tough.

So now I am in a position to offer the following two hunts in MB for 2019 at our cost price basically to try and get the quota sold.

The Hunt is for a Leopard/Buffalo Combo and you can add a Hippo if you like. There are also second Buff available:

Day Fees:
$15,500.00 (1 x Arrival Day in Camp and 13 Hunting Days. The 13 Hunting days is to match the flights from DAR-SONGEA-DAR which only flies Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays)

Professional Hunter will be Koos de Wet that worked for the well known cat guy Wayne Grant of "Into the Thorns" fame.

Dates for this hunt are specific dates in September or October. You might share camp with another BUFFALO hunter, which is a good thing as there will be plenty of bait going around.

Typical Itinerary:
Arrival Day DAR:
Meet and GREET AIRPORT, CLEAR FIREARMS and TAXI to HOTEL

TRAVEL DAY:
TAXI to airport form HOTEL. CHECK FIREARMS in. FLY to SONGEA. TRAVEL to CAMP.

Hunting DAYS: Hunt 13 days

DEPARTURE DAY: Leave CAMP at 07:00 to fly from SONGEA to DAR. ARRIVE DAR approx 17:00. Fly back home same night via Amsterdam (23:00)

Unique Plains Game species on quota includes Niassa Wildebeest and Lichtenstein Hartebeest.

This is a good pricing structure and a fantastic opportunity to hunt Africa of old, the right way!

The area hosts a fantastic population of predators, Elephants, Buffalo and Hippo. Plains Game numbers is ok and def. not bad. You will get an opportunity at trophy quality Plains Game of most of the species during the 13 days of hunting.

NO nonsense or sideshows please. And for those guys on here that are doubting my Bona Fides in Tanzania and want to ask who the "owners" of the block is etc, direct your questions to the Tanzania Game Department. I have been operating for many years with a good name and did not get involved in Tanzania to throw that good name away. So my request to you is to stay away from negative comments and trust the fact that I made sure that as a reputable Outfitter that I am not sub-leasing a block or operating as an agent, but as a part owner of a legitimate Tanzanian business.


Although this will be UTS first season in MB, we did have a full season in next door Nalika last year and again sold out Nalika's quota.
